This Privacy Policy explains how Nutricare (“we”, “us”), the online nutrition practice of Dr. Rida Saeed at nutricares.org, collects, uses and protects your personal information. We serve clients in the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan and other countries, and we handle your data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and other laws that apply to us.
Information we collect
- Contact and booking details you give us through our forms or WhatsApp: your name, WhatsApp number, email address, preferred date and time, and the service or package you are interested in.
- Health information you choose to share, such as your health concern, goals, medical conditions, medications, food preferences, test results and the notes from your consultations.
- Course account details if you sign up for our free courses: username, email address and password (stored encrypted).
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and cookies (see “Cookies” below).
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiries and arrange, deliver and follow up your online consultations and diet plans.
- To create personalised nutrition advice and plans for you.
- To give you access to our free courses and manage your account.
- To keep the website secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
We use your health information only to provide your care, and only with your consent. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
Legal basis
We process your data because you asked us to (for example, to book a consultation), with your consent (especially for health information), to perform our agreement with you, to comply with the law, or for our legitimate interest in running a safe, effective website. You can withdraw consent at any time; this will not affect processing that has already taken place.
Who we share it with
We share information only when needed to run our service, with providers who must keep it confidential:
- our website host and website software (WordPress and its plugins, including form and membership tools);
- email and messaging services we use to contact you, such as WhatsApp and our email provider;
- security, spam-protection and analytics services (for example Wordfence, Akismet, Jetpack and, if enabled, Google Analytics);
- authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside the UAE or Pakistan. Where this happens, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months if you do not become a client. Consultation records are kept for as long as needed to provide your care and to meet legal and professional requirements. Course accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to how we use it; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw your consent. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the data-protection authority in your country.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site working (for example, to keep you logged in to your course account and to protect forms from spam). We may also use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly without essential cookies.
Security
We use HTTPS encryption, security monitoring, strong passwords and limited access to protect your information. No website or messaging service is completely secure, so please avoid sending highly sensitive documents unless we ask for them.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. Consultations for anyone under 18 are only arranged with a parent or guardian, who provides the information on the child’s behalf.
